&udm56 FAQ

Is this different from &udm=14? Yes! It’s a view that basically removes the Google interface entirely, but adds back in some knowledge panels. It has a desktop layout, but works best in mobile. It was uncovered by the Reddit user send_me_a_ticket. Use this for mobile, and &udm=14 for desktop. Clutch.

Hmm, it’s not working. If the search doesn’t seem to work on your account, try switching accounts or using incognito mode. Google sometimes introduces random breaking changes.

Is this safe? Yes! We don’t track any web searches, and our analytics (by Plausible) are self-hosted. (And yes, we recently added a small ad to support server costs, but it’s intended to be minimalist and non-invasive.)

Can I run this myself? Still working on this part, but it will be similar to the existing code base for &udm=14 on GitHub.
